Monique's style is fluid and ever changing. From her studio located in the art district of Sudbury, Monique continues to show her work on the international level and galleries across Ontario. She’s proud to be top four in 2018 for Art Battle Canada, an international speed painting competition. She has collaborated with numerous artists in her community and beyond.
Monique Legault has been an artist in Sudbury since the age of 16. She opened her own studio four years later, learning early on that to survive as a working artist, you have to live it. And that she does. Monique has painted everything from landscapes to portraits, from fine art to murals. Her murals grace the walls of retirement facilities, churches, restaurants and private homes.
Visit Monique at her studio, located at 172 Elgin St in downtown Sudbury, Ontario.
Active in the community, Monique was selected as one of the 40 under 40 recipients of an award celebrating Sudbury’s young leaders. This led to her becoming a board member of the Sudbury Art Council, where she lends her expertise to young artists breaking into the market.
